Elsa Esturgie is a designer and artisan based in paris.

After graduating from the ‘Ecole nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs’, she started developing her first collection in 1996, for which she received the fashion award ‘andam’ in 1997. Later on, in 2006, she also got honoured by the ‘grand prix de la création de la ville de Paris’.

Since the beginning of her career, Elsa has been using a very organic process, as she works with the material as the starting point of her creation: “i love to approach a new piece of clothing by the textile itself, manipulating the fabric, exploring the natural materials like cotton, silk, and wool.” In fact, the brand uses mainly organic or recycled fibers, coming from either Italy or france, encouraging a more ethical and responsible production with a reduced amount of transportations. The collections are entirely manufactured in France, in Paris, since 1996, and have been designed, washed, air-dried, and meticulously verified in her parisian atelier before being sent to the 80 locations they are sold at in France and internationally.

Elsa has a very unique and yet timeless style. Sobre and sophisticated, chic and contemporary, her minimalist and subtle creations reflect her poetry in a playful assembly of navy black and grey materials associated with ecrus and transparencies. fond of the elegance and simplicity of the neutral tones since the very start, Elsa Esturgie finds renewal over the years in the detail, while staying close to the essence of the brand and its aesthetic.
This authentic rather than commercial approach of the creation resonates with the way the brand works daily; modelists and assistants work hand-in-hand with Elsa in this very sereine and inspiring environment of the Cité Durmar, a very pretty and paved alley shared between a lot of other artisans who have settled their own atelier.
